The Archer Fire is located approximately 6 miles NW of Round Mountain, TX. The fire began on June 24th, and the Texas A&M Forest Service began unified command with locals after 7pm on the 24th.
The fire is burning in rough terrain, making access with heavy equipment slow. Crews will use heavy equipment, engines, and aviation resources to construct fire containment lines until the fire reaches 100% containment.
