Texas A&M Forest Service received a request for assistance for the Cypress Mill Road Fire in Blanco County on the afternoon of Tuesday, June 7th. TAMFS crews are in unified command with local resources. Resources, including heavy equipment and engines were redirected from nearby Lincoln Smith Fire.
Excessive heat, high winds, and critically low live fuel moisture contributed to active fire behavior.
