Texas A&M Forest Service was called to assist local responders from both Randall and Potter Counties with the Hollywood Fire at 1:00 pm, Thursday March 17th, 2022. Both ground and aerial resources are working on creating containment lines along both sides of the fire. Local responders are doing structure protection. Road closures and evacuations have now been lifted, residents are able to return back to their homes.
Winds are expected to remain sustained at 25-35 miles per hour (mph) with gusts near 40-45 mph until gradually diminishing late tonight or Friday morning. High winds are expected from the north tomorrow.
