River Complex Fire Update 

Super Scoopers are making multiple drops on the northeast portion of the fire where it is burning through the previous 2014 Coffee Fire.Residents in the area can expect to see these aircraft throughout the day.

   The spike camp in Coffee Creek has exceeded its capacity and will be relocating to the “ballfield,” which is located off the North Fork cut off near the KOA. The larger location will accommodate the additional resources that have arrived on the incident. It also allows for better COVID-19 mitigations by allowing crews to spread out. The main incident command post will remain in its current location outside of Etna. We would like to thank the community of Coffee Creek for their support.

The Klamath National Forest covers 1.7 million acres located in Siskiyou County, California and Jackson County, Oregon. The forest is headquartered in Yreka, CA, and maintains ranger stations in the California communities of Macdoel, Happy Camp, and Fort Jones.

ZONE 1 – The areas along Coffee Creek Road, starting just West of the intersection of the East Fork of Coffee Creek continuing to Big Flat Trail Head. This area includes all Coffee Creek Road addresses greater than 6000.
