 COMMERCE CITY —U.S. Fish and Wildlife was able to burn on 4/8/2022 units 31d total acres 22, 30b total acres 203, and 31/36bc total acres 428. We were able to have the assistance of CO-RMR, CO-ALR, U.S. Forest Service, the U.S. Air Force Module, Aurora Fire Rescue, and the James Peak Module from Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control.

COMMERCE CITY - U.S. Fish and Wildlife (FWS) will be conducting prescribed burning activities on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge on Friday, April. 8, 2022. The plan is to burn unit 30b, units 31bc and 36b.  The burns will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Smoke will be visible for several miles from the perimeter of the Refuge and people in the area may smell smoke.

 COMMERCE CITY - Weather permitting, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) planned prescribed burning activities on the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge Saturday, March 26th. The FWS planned to burn up to 149 acres on unit 4c. The burns will be conducted between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Smoke could have been visible for several miles from the perimeter of the Refuge and people in the area may have smelled smoke.
