News

 The Huron Zone is planning to burn three acres of the Kneff Lake Piles unit, near Kneff Lake Campground today. Ignitions are planned to occur between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm.
 Baldwin Ranger District:Idlewild Units 15 and 16 piles, east of Broadway and 72nd StCadillac/Manistee District:Darr Road Unit, East of Darr Road between Hoague and Koenig RoadsIgnition times 10: a.m. - 12:00 p.m. 
Baldwin Ranger District: Continuing with the piles in the Pleasant Plains Twp, then moving to Idlewild Units 15 & 16, East of Broadway and 72nd St.Cadillac/Manistee Ranger District:Chittenden Administrative Site, Pile burning, 1170 Nursery Rd, Wellston, MI 
The Manistee Zone today is planning to conduct operations on the Baldwin Ranger District. General Pile Locations on Baldwin District in Pleasant Plains  VFD Response Area: East of the intersection of M-37 and 96th Street
USFS Huron Zone FIRE may have an opportunity to burn  piles on the Mio Ranger District Monday-Thursday (1/31-2/3/22):Mio Ranger District: MON-TUES Kinsey Hunt Fuelbreak, (~150-200 piles) Smith Road Fuelbreak (100+ piles) WED-THURS Parliament Road RX Unit Piles, (~150-200 piles)
The Manistee zone will be conducting 2 separate pile burning operations between both districts today in Lake County. General Pile Locations on Cadillac-Manistee District in Irons VFD Response Area:  10 ½ Mile Rd and Astor General Pile Locations on Baldwin District in Pleasant Plains  VFD Response Area:  East of the intersection of M-37 and 96th Street
 USFS Huron Zone FIRE may have an opportunity to burn piles on the Mio Ranger District today and Friday (1/27-1/28): Mio Ranger District:
 Mio Ranger District: Just over 118 acres of pile burning are planned across the district.
The following pile burning activity is planned for the Manistee Zone this winter:Manistee County – 10 acres Mason County – 13 acres Lake County – 32 acres Newaygo County – 8 acres
