755 Fire Update: February 16, 2022 2100 hoursLocation: Brooks County near Encino, off of FM 755 and County Road 304Acreage: approximately 2,000 acresContainment: 90% containedCause: Roadside IgnitionDozer and engine crews have worked well into the evening to complete containment lines. Dozers have completed tying in lines along the eastern flank. The fire is no longer active but lines are secured to prepare for elevated fire weather conditions expected tomorrow. The 755 Fire will be turned over to local jurisdiction tonight for monitoring.
