Miller Fire Final Update: March 6, 2022 0800 hoursLocation: Brooks County, southwest area of Falfurrias off of HWY 281 and FM 3066Acreage: 271 acresContainment: 100% ContainedTexas A&M Forest Service and local departments conducted patrol and mop up operations yesterday on the Miller Fire. Six residential structures were lost and local officials are working through the damage assessment process. The Miller Fire has been transferred to local departments to monitor.

Miller Fire Update: March 5, 2022 1000 hoursLocation: Brooks County, southwest area of Falfurrias off of HWY 281 and FM 3066Acreage: approximately 300Containment: 90% ContainedTexas A&M Forest Service and local fire departments are on scene at the Miller Fire. The fire was patrolled overnight by local resources. Today, engine crews will continue patrol and mop up of smoldering areas.

Heavy equipment and engine crews are engaged in mop up operations. Fire behavior has diminished significantly with no forward progression. Citizens that were previously evacuated are now able to return to their homes.
