Oak Mott Fire Final Update: March 3, 2022 1200 hoursLocation: Willacy/Kenedy County line, approximately 3 miles north of Raymondville on the east side of HWY 77Acreage: 873 acresContainment: 100% containedThe Oak Mott Fire has been mapped at 873 acres and is now 100% contained. Strong humidity recovery overnight improved conditions over the fire which held within the constructed containment line. Today, ground crews will improve the containment line and mop up any areas of existing heat. The fire will be transferred to the local jurisdiction this afternoon.
