Firefighters carry gear to the helicopter to be transported to the Fay Fire. A helitack crew member ensures the area is clear and monitors progress.
NV-HTF Engine 315 will not be driving the engine crew to the Fay Fire. Instead, they were transported by helicopter. The engine is parked at the trailhead with the mountains and a small, wispy smoke column in the background.
The Fay Fire is burning in steep, rugged terrain in the Fay Luther Canyon. A snag is on fire with some surface fire.
