Air Attack Evening Update July 22 2024 - Lone Rock Fire

The stumps and large dead and downed fuels continue to burn long after the light flashy fuels. Firefighters mop up the "heavies" using tools, dirt and water.

One of our objectives as an Incident Management Team is to provide information to ensure cooperating agencies, private landowners and the public is well informed with timely and relevant information. That is why we have Public Information Officers or PIOs helping to share information both electronically and in person.

We strive to reach every individual impacted by wildfires and help them understand the current situation, evacuations, closures and smoke impact. As a PIO, keeping everyone informed is our job and duty.
