River Complex Fire Update Monday September 27, 2021
Etna, CA- Air and ground resources held the fire during the last several days. Today’s fire behavior will be dependent on the arrival of the cold front which is forecasted to bring light precipitation. Cooler conditions and higher humidity combined with great overnight recovery will support continued direct line construction across the portions of the perimeter that can be accessed. Crews will continue to pay close attention to the flank south of Minnehaha as it backs down to the dry creek bed before the rain arrives.
Yesterday, crews were able to complete the containment line around the Tangle Blue spot fire. Crews will continue to keep the Cronan Fire within existing control lines and prevent the Haypress Fire from spreading to private property and surrounding communities.
