River Complex Fire Update Saturday September 25, 2021

Etna, CA- The warming and drying trend will continue for the next couple of days.  The Minnehaha Creek/Eagle Creek has cooled down, and firefighters will continue to establish control lines in the area with the assistance of air support.  Firefighters continue to patrol the Cecilville/Summerville area up to Callahan Road.   Containment lines are holding near Sugarhill, where crews continue to establish a perimeter. The fire continues its backing behavior around Craggy Peak, allowing personnel to go direct in many locations. Firefighters are making good progress constructing handlines and extinguishing areas of heat near Little Mill Creek.  Line around the Tangle Blue Spot Fire continues to be established. Hotshot crews spiked-out at Stoddard Lake will continue constructing direct hand line.  Fire personnel continue to patrol and eliminate residual heat around Coffee Creek. The west side of the fire has not had any significant movement.  The Cronan Fire remains inactive.
