River Complex Fire Update October 13, 2021
Smoke activity increases and fire suppression repair continuesThe weather brought colder morning temperatures to the River Complex Fire area. After the front passed the warmer temperatures and lower relative humidity were experienced during the burning period. Light rain is possible for the fire area.Interagency Hot Shot crews have been assigned to the Sugar Pine and Minnehaha Creek areas to monitor activity and seize opportunities to take direct suppression actions. A total of five helicopters are working in the area, tasked with both water dropping and back haul missions as weather allows. Pack strings are supporting crews working on suppression repair in the Trinity Alps Wilderness area. Monitoring continues as fire activity decreases, and suppression repair activities progress, with the focus being on the Cronan Fire area. INCIDENT FACTS: Total acreage: 199,228 Containment: 89%
