Fire
There are multiple fires affecting the forecast area. For more information on these incidents, please visit each fire's Inciweb page.
Smoke
Winds have shifted to the north-northwest this morning which has brought cleaner air to most locations in the region. Smoke levels will be highest today in regions immediately to the south and southeast of the most active fires. UNHEALTHY FOR SENSITIVE GROUPS conditions are expected in Monument, MODERATE conditions are expected in the other forecast locations. Looking ahead to Sunday, fire activity and smoke production will continue. Winds will be lighter allowing more smoke drainage into valley areas near active fires such as the Battle Mountain Complex. As such, air quality is forecast to be poorer in some locations on Sunday.
