Crews are back on scene again today working to build containment around this fire. Weather conditions today have improved compared to yesterday but still remain challenging for firefighters. Good progress was made last night using heavy equipment to create a containment line partially around the fire. Crews today are finishing tying lines in to increase containment and mopping up heavy fuels burning inside the lines. Additionally some resources are available to respond to other new fires that may occur in the area. Crews will be working all through the day today to increase3 containment on this fire with the expected cold fronts and fire weather coming into the area in the next few days.
