Location: Brooks County near Encino, off of FM 755 and County Road 304
Acreage: approximately 2,000 acres
Containment: 90% contained
Cause: Roadside Ignition
Dozer and engine crews have worked well into the evening to complete containment lines. Dozers have completed tying in lines along the eastern flank. The fire is no longer active but lines are secured to prepare for elevated fire weather conditions expected tomorrow. The 755 Fire will be turned over to local jurisdiction tonight for monitoring.
