Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) dozers and motor graders continue to construct and improve control lines. Fire activity has decreased allowing fire crews to conduct burnout operations to improve containment lines. Local resources are patrolling, mopping up, and securing the control lines.

Advice motorist to please be vigilant of fire crews working on the area of FM 2132  and Hwy 153, as low visibility is present from to smoke over the road due to burnout operations. If driving through that area, please have your lights on, reduce your speed and use hazard lights.

Resources are ready to respond to any initial attack if the need arises.
