Crews Gap Fire is currently at 10% containment. Dozers from Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) have began constructing containment line around the perimeter of the fire. 2 large air tankers (LAT) assisted the ground crews with retardant drops to cool off the North Flank of the fire, slowing progression to buy time for ground resources to construct containment line. Local responders are working in unified command assisting with suppression efforts. The community of Glen Cove had started evacuations at first, but due to a southward change in the wildfires progression the evacuations have ceased.
