State resources from Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS), Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS), along with other Federal resources, and local responders improved and widen lines with dozers, while engines continued to patrol and mop up around the perimeter.
The expected wind shift from the Northeast revealed several interior hotspots to emerge throughout the day, but aviation resources and engine crews were able to mitigate them quickly.
There was precipitation brought by the storm, along with strong outflow winds, and lightning throughout the area. Crews and air resources made good progress reinforcing lines before taking shelter from passing storms.
Overnight resources will patrol and mop up containment lines as needed.
Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFR) is in place for June 27 – July 1. So please refrain from flying any drones around the area. If YOU Fly, We Can’t!
