Experiment Station #1 Fire
Location: approximately 6 miles south of Barnhart, TX
Size: 339 acres
Containment: 75%

Firefighters have made good progress on fire containment efforts. Forward progression of the fire has been stopped. Crews are continuing to work on completing containment line construction around the fire perimeter and mop up any hot spots close to the edge. 

Fire Weather:
Fire weather concerns remain elevated across the area today with gusty southwest winds in the 15-25 mph range with gusts between 25-35 mph. RH values look to remain generally above 20%, avoiding critical criteria. Winds are expected to remain gusty through the night and into early Wednesday morning. RH values will recover well overnight and likely stay above 30% on Wednesday.
