 This morning crews have returned to the fire to check containment lines from last night and the burn operations that took place. Late last night conditions were favorable for several burnouts which allowed firefighters to increase containment by burning the fuel in front of the fire. This morning the fire was remapped for a total of 68 acres and containment has been bumped to 90%. Crews will be out working today on the line checking all sides of the line in anticipation of an expected wind shift that will occur late this afternoon. Conditions are marginally better today but the area will still experience high winds and low humidity. Any residents in the area should take precautions when doing any activity that may cause a spark, as this is liable to start a grass fire.
