State resources from Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) arrived on scene at the Mill Creek Fire around 11:45 AM. After tying in with the local responders TAMFS dozers began constructing line along the South Flank of the fire, Aviation resources are also being utilized to help slow rate of spread on active flanks and reinforce existing lines. Privat motor graders from a local ranch are assisting with putting in a fire line along the heal of the fire, multiple VFDs are assisting as well. Due to the high winds the fire is showing significant activity on both flanks and is pushing thick smoke along the ground leading to poor visibility. High winds are expected until late this afternoon with low relative humidity which will keep fire danger at high levels until the evening.
