Miller Fire Update: March 4, 2022 2130 hours
Location: Brooks County, southwest area of Falfurrias off of HWY 281 and FM 3066
Acreage: approximately 300
Containment: 90% Contained

Coordinated efforts from aerial and ground resources proved very effective in slowing fire progression. Heavy equipment and engine crews are engaged in mop up operations. Fire behavior has diminished significantly with no forward progression. Citizens that were previously evacuated are now able to return to their homes.
A shelter has been set up at the Ed Rachel Memorial Library located at 203 S Calixto Mora Ave. in Falfurrias. American Red Cross is staged at the shelter to assist displaced citizens. 
Resources will remain on scene into the evening conducting mop up on any areas of concern. Humidity recovery is expected to be near 100% tonight which will improve conditions.
