JBSA-Camp Bullis wildfire now 70% contained

JOINT BASE SAN ANTONIO-CAMP BULLIS, Texas – The JBSA-Camp Bullis wildfire is now 70% contained, according to Joint Base San Antonio officials. There were no additional flare-ups or growth overnight. No further evacuations to the local communities are expected. As of today, an estimated 3,000 acres have burned. The area did get some rain overnight and the extra humidity is very helpful with containment operations. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The coordinated and combined efforts of the JBSA fire departments, along with numerous area fire departments and agencies, have been vital in the fire suppression efforts.
