Update: Yesterday evening an IR (infrared) flight flew over the fire. The IR showed some hot spots along the fire edge. Fire activity still remains moderate.  Operations staff were able to get a better idea of the perimeter which increased the estimated size. The temporary gate put in place Friday has been upgraded with increased signage in order to help public see the closure sooner on Cascade River Road. Today fire crews are cleaning up the brushing work along the road and operations staff are flying an observation flight over the fire.

At this time, afternoon relative humidities are expected to remain just above critical levels with moderate recoveries at night.
