The Black Mountain Fire was reported Monday afternoon, July 29, 2024.
The fire is located about 6 miles northwest of Lincoln, Mont.
The Pine Grove Campground remains closed. A signed Forest Closure Order is in place.
The Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Office has transitioned to an Evacuation Warning. Residents in the evacuation area have returned to their homes.
The public can help the firefighting effort by staying out of the area and being aware of increased emergency vehicle traffic on area roads and highways.
