Minimal fire growth occurred yesterday due to cooler temperatures and light precipitation in the late afternoon. The fire continues to hold approximately 50’ from the Cascade River Road. The requested reconnaissance flight was cancelled due to weather conditions. Firefighters continue to monitor the area and engage in suppression for emerging hotspots. Today, firefighters intend to install hose lines along the 1590 road to prepare for the possibility of the fire moving further down the hill.
