Water supply has been crucial for firefighters working working to complete containment along steep, rugged terrain in the Northwest corner of the Telephone Fire. Here’s a shot from King Mountain, showing tender operator Brett Mitchell re-filling two portable tanks. Water is pumped from the tanks, through wildland fire hose, out to firefighters who need it to cool hot spots and put out any spot fires.

Final firing operations on the Poison Fire, a smaller lighting start in the overall footprint of the Falls-Telephone Fire operational area. Contract engines and a hand crew from Dust Busters, led by incident management personnel, conducted tactical firing operations along the south side of the fire's edge , thereby eliminating fuel loads adjacent to the control lines. * the poison fire was a lighting start near the footprint of the Falls Fire and was folded into the management portfolio of that incident.
