Today crews were back on the Los Establos Fire working to patrol and monitor the fire. After making several passes around the edge of the fire they found no hot areas and have pushed containment to 100%. Through good cooperation between local fire departments and Texas A&M Forest Service a total of 16 structures were protected from the fire. 

Conditions will continue to be hot and dry across North Texas and fires will remain a threat for the foreseeable future. Storms that move through the area have the possibility of causing new fires due to lightning strikes if they do not provide much moisture. Residents should continue to be careful with fire as any spark will be likely to cause a fire under these conditions.
